Book Awards

Congratulations and sincere thanks to the 2,000 independent authors and publishers who participated in the 2011 Independent Publisher Book Awards.

Entries into this year’s 15th annual “IPPY” Awards proved that independent authors, editors, publishers, illustrators and photographers aren’t afraid of change, and are the reason that independent publishing is growing, gaining acceptance, and becoming “the way to publish” today. This year’s medalists were chosen from 3,907 total entries, and the 346 medal-winning books came to us from 45 U.S. states plus the District of Columbia, 7 Canadian provinces, and 7 countries overseas. These books were created by fiercely independent publishers, proudly unattached to the mainstream, conglomerated media.
