How We Choose Books for IP Notables

IndependentPublisher.com publishes a list of “IP Notable” titles, chosen by our editorial staff from newly received entries into our six book awards contests. We list these books to bring increased recognition to the thousands of great — and often overlooked — independently published titles released each year.

Winning a book award and getting a good notice published are two of the best (and most affordable) marketing tools available to the independent publisher today. Every book entered in one of our six book awards contests is evaluated for inclusion on our IP Notables page. When a book award entry is selected as an IP Notable, a Jenkins Group representative contacts the author/publisher with details about how to proceed.

IP Notables are approximately 250-400 words, appear on the site for at least a year, and the publisher has unlimited use of the content. A link to the IP Notables page appears in our monthly newsletter, alerting subscribers to visit the page and check out the best newly released titles.
