SUBRIGHTS.COM UNLEASHES TITLEEXPRESS

Software enables users worldwide to expedite title entry into the Subrights.com database.
In response to requests from publishers internationally, today Subrights.com introduced titleExpress to the subsidiary rights industry.

The software enables users worldwide to expedite title entry into the Subrights.com database by entering information off-line in a Java-based program that runs on multiple platforms, and then uploading the data all at once.

"In the long term, when publishers worldwide all have DSL, T-1 and other super-fast Internet connections, off-line data entry will be a moot point," notes Chief Sales & Marketing Officer Jacqueline LeDonne. "But in the short term, this is a unique time-saving solution for the thousands of sellers who are looking to get their titles into the marketplace quickly."

Subrights.com continues to accept data from all legacy systems, including in-house rights management software and proprietary databases. The company also continues its offer to load sellers' backlist title information into its database at no charge, on a first come first serve basis.

The titleExpress program arrives this week on the desks of more than 8,000 buyers and sellers of rights in over 100 countries. It comes in the form of a sleek black disk packaged in a "clam-shell" case and includes a macromedia introduction to the benefits of Subrights.com, excerpts from four selected client titles and an interactive game from another client just for fun.

"Following on the heels of our strategic alliances with PubEasy.com and PublishersLunch, the titleExpress disk represents another major step toward creating marketplace awareness for Subrights.com," concludes CEO Joel E. Fishman. "More important, we've listened to our users and have responded with another way to address their immediate needs."
