"Franklin eBookMan is a significant addition to the collection of AudibleReady devices, and with such attractively priced offers, any consumer- not just the executive with a busy calendar or an overflowing address book- can justify the purchase of a digital handheld device," added Guy Story, senior vice president and chief scientist at Audible, Inc.

In response to consistent interest from potential partners, Audible has launched an affiliate program. The program will empower Web partners to earn significant new customer bounties by offering Audible's industry-leading range of spoken audio content for purchase within the context of their own sites. Using a turnkey Web-based solution from Commission Junction, the affiliate program provides the ability to monitor click-through, sales, and commission earnings in real time. Affiliate sites will be able to tailor promotional offerings and choose audio titles from an extensive online inventory at audible.com.

"Partnerships create the key to success on the Internet. We are delighted to respond to the demand we've had from prospective affiliate partners to promote the sale of Audible's broad selection of premium spoken audio," said Thomas Baxter, president and CEO of Audible, Inc. "The increasing comfort and familiarity consumers now demonstrate with downloading audio content coincides with a marked industry-wide increase in online sales from affiliate marketing. The launch of our program addresses our intention to extend the Audible brand across the Internet."
