OverDrive broadens eBook offerings with Adobe DRM

Content websites and eBook retailers to benefit from Digital Rights Management (DRM) solutions.
OverDrive Inc. has announced that it is extending its eBook service offerings to support its rapidly growing Adobe(r) Portable Document Format (PDF) customer base. OverDrive will leverage Adobe Content Server to provide eBook resellers, publishers, and content portals copyright protection services to secure, sell and protect their Adobe PDF-based eBooks.

"OverDrive has significantly expanded its B2B service offering to publishers, content websites and eBook retailers here in the US and abroad by including Digital Rights Management (DRM) solutions for Adobe PDF-based documents and eBooks," stated OverDrive CEO Steve Potash. "Adobe Content Server provides flexible and secure methods of creating profitable digital publishing businesses for Adobe PDF-based eBooks," Potash added.
