Launches "Spread the Words" Viral Marketing Campaign

Current Customers to Evangelize Audible's Internet Audio Service to Friendsand Family in Return for Free Content and High-Tech Prizes
Audible, Inc. has announced the launch of Spread the Words, a new membership drive that rewards its participants with valuable free audiobooks and chances to win high-tech gear in return for referring news listeners. The program utilizes a campaign poster featuring an original drawing by illustrator Ralph Steadman.

The Spread the Words program aims to build on strong customer-referral volumes the company has experienced informally. Once a current customer introduces someone to Audible and the new customer joins the AudibleListener(TM) membership plan, Audible will give the recruiter one month of AudibleListener for free, with no limit to the number of new customers signed up and free months of content accrued. New recruits will also get the first month of their AudibleListener programs and a Diamond Rio 600 digital audio player for free when they choose an annual AudibleListener plan.

In addition to free audio, US and Canadian customers who refer a member to Audible will be automatically entered in a drawing to win an ``ultimate digital toy chest'' valued at almost $5,000. The winner will be drawn from all entries received by midnight on December 31, 2001.
