SPEAKEASY personifies "edgy, underground community on the margins"

Loft Literary Center publishes bi-monthly forum for literary discussions
Speakeasy is a new bimonthly magazine of literary culture, published by the Loft Literary Center of Minneapolis, the nation's largest and most comprehensive center for the literary arts. Speakeasy is for readers and writers who are passionate about the role of literature in their world.

"The speakeasy of the 20s and 30s personified an edgy, underground community on the margins. Literature is very much on the margins of our culture. We want Speakeasy to be a literary gathering place tuned to the moment, a magazine that creates a sense of community between writers and readers." -- Bart Schneider, Editor
