The Algonquin Round Table Lives Again on West 44th Street Once again the wits of the Algonquin Round Table will exchange quips and wisecracks as part of an upcoming Small Press Center lecture series entitled "Wit's End on West 44th Street." The series celebrates an extraordinary time in American literature, an era that was dominated by the creative humorists who were part of the Round Table and The New Yorker.Upcoming lectures, which will take place between November and March, will honor James Thurber, Harold Ross, Robert Benchley, and the infamous Dorothy Parker.
